SideBooks is a high performance, high speed PDF viewer that allows you to enjoy reading with the feel of actual paper.

Curl animation that simulates the actual turning of paper pages has been added to the standard page slide function.
Supports viewing from 3 directions, documents that open left to right, right to left and vertically. It provides the optimal environment for viewing any book.
All zoom rates have been optimized providing high speed, dynamic screen display.
An infinite hierarchy of folders can be created, moved, deleted, renamed, etc. using the enhanced bookshelf management function.
Real visual bookshelf function that corresponds to back cover style display.
Files can be imported by 3 methods, Network transfer through Dropbox, USB transfer through iTunes and direct transfer from other applications.
Books can be protected so others cannot view them by using the password protected locking function.

Pros and cons of SideBooks app for iPhone and iPad

SideBooks app good for

Simple easy, import through iTunes or dropbox. Large nimber of formats supported.

Some things that should change is a support for add folders from dropbox instead of going 1 on 1 and capacity to change the f*king cat for something else!

Ive been everywhere in comics readers, and this one together with Comicflow are the best so far. This reader is better than Comicflow because it recognizes zip and rar files besides cbr/cbz.

I cant transfer the scans anymore since the update to iOS 8. Fix this, please.

that said. they could only create a more beautiful icon. (you see, the app is so good i have nothing else to say about it...) the page feel is more realistic in ibooks, but SideBooks comes veru close to it

I love this app! The only thing missing is a suport to .EPUB files. I would love to read my books, and have it all organized in the sidebboks. Lot better than ibooks. The shelf, and group of books are amazing. Just perfect! Zoom, and cover change? WoW!!! Well, its said, best reader app in the store.

Some bad moments

App wont stay open for more than a second after I imported the entire Walking Dead collection onto it. Lots of material there, but disappointed this app seems unable to handle it all.

For some reason, the left portion of PDFs are blurred and unreadable. So its unusable.

As Im saying in the title, the app have a great design but if you are a power user the app crash as soon as you have to many books on it, try to reset the iPad nothing works if the app crash one time its it will keep on crashing the second you enter it every time after... useless app

App crashes non-stop once you add more than 25 comics, used to run fine until I updated my collection now i cant even get to my bookshelf

Nice and easy enough to navigate and use, but the constant crashes whenever you add just a bit too much at a time is getting frustrating.

SideBooks should be called Crash-Books instead. I downloaded it and attempted to load a number of comics on to my iPad. SideBooks opens and loads about 2 lines of comics and then crashes. I cant even tell you how it looks to read a book, cause I cant get there.
